Welcome to 2009!

January is already underway, look what we have coming up this year; national events, some locally created and some coming for the first time EVER to Rochester! In February, be on the look out for a major announcement coming from us!

Special Olympics New York is back in Rochester for the 4th straight State Games in a row this February. The 2009 Winter Games are part of the 2nd Freezin for a Reason Weekend in Rochester. Support these Special Olympic athletes by volunteering during the Winter Games. For More information including the volunteer application, visit our website.

March will mark the 3rd visit of the Atlantic Hockey Championships to Blue Cross Arena. Championship play is preceded by Semi-finals AND the Section V Senior Select Game. Tickets for the Section V Senior Select game are available at participating local high schools (a portion of the proceeds benefit CURE childhood cancer association). Local Booster Clubs are encouraged to compete in the Section V Challenge as your school can win up to $2,000! The end of March and beginning of April this year will mark the beginning of 2009 USA Hockey events at ESL Sports Centre. Women's and Girls' National Championships kick off the USA Hockey Spree while several Festival's follow through June and July.

AJGA promises to bring 100 of the best Junior Golfers from around the Country to Rochester's Country Club of Mendon, this May. Don't miss your chance to see them in action.

Cycling in Rochester is taking off this summer with the Tour de New York. This new event includes the Rochester Criterium, the annual night time race through downtown Rochester. Watch out for cyclists from around the world starting this August.
