Rowing THIS weekend... The Erie Canal Firecracker 500 Rowing Event will be lighting up the canal this weekend in Brighton. The Greece Cobras 20th Annual Tournament and Festival is back again this year at the Unity Health System Total Sports Experience. Over 150 Boys and Girls teams from Canada, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York will be competing. For More information visit

The 5th Annual Armond Bassett Race will be held again at the Genesee Waterways Center. This year it will be a two-day event, attracting paddlers to the Genesee River to compete in a 10-mile marathon and a 3-mile recreational race. For dates and details visit

What better month to golf than in July? The 87th New York State Golf Association Men's Amateur Championships will be at Ravenwood Golf Club later this month.
